Practicality
We aim to find practical solutions to business problems, which can be implemented in a cost effective fashion. We are firm believers that “the perfect is the enemy of the good” and we aim to produce results rather than reports.
Leveraging client skills
Most clients have extensive experience that can, and should, be leveraged to obtain the required results from a project. Many of them lack direct experience in the areas in which we specialise including project management, change management, technology and outsourcing. In such cases our experience can be the catalyst that is required to transform an inefficient project into an effective one.
Enhancing client knowledge
It is a frequently heard criticism of the consulting profession that they come and go without transferring any real knowledge to the client. On project completion we believe that our clients should have a full understanding of the process, how results were achieved, and the ability to efficiently replicate that process using internal resources if required. Our clients are fully involved in all planning activities and all key decisions are taken by the client on the basis of a full understanding of the issues involved.
Commercial but co-operative
Successfully implementing change involves closely managing stakeholders, partners, and vendors to achieve the agreed results. We believe in using the disciplines of the market (for instance requests for information, requests for proposal) where appropriate; however we believe equally strongly that commercial relationships do not need to be adversarial; indeed that they work better when they are not. The keys to an effective relationship are therefore to be found in clarity, openness an the establishment of trust between all parties involved in a project.
